The least, the lost, and the lonely. Imani USA is a Connecticut charity supporting churches, pastors and families in Uganda.
For years Imani has been building churches in Uganda, training the pastors who lead them, and helping families through poverty and illness. Americans have been giving to that work with no way to claim the tax deduction US law allows.
Imani USA was formed to change that. It is its own organisation, with its own board, its own accounts and its own records. Its board approves each project it funds and requires a written accounting of how the money was spent.
Imani USA applied to the Internal Revenue Service in 2026 for recognition as a 501(c)(3) charity. That application is pending.
We are not yet accepting donations. We expect to open for giving on 1 January 2027.
